What do you get when you mix two cheeky cousins, a wise Nanna, a mischievous dog and plenty of imagination? Little J & Big Cuz!
The much-loved Australian animated series follows Little J and his older cousin Big Cuz as they navigate school, family, friendship and life in their Aboriginal community.
Along the way, they learn about culture, Country, language, history and the importance of listening to their Elders—but the clever part is that it never feels like a lesson. It's funny, warm and full of the everyday adventures that kids everywhere can relate to.
And listen closely to those familiar voices. The series features an impressive lineup of Indigenous Australian talent, including Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell, Aaron Fa'Aoso, Ningali Lawford-Wolf and Ursula Yovich, bringing the characters to life with plenty of warmth, humour and personality.
The series also gives Aboriginal children something incredibly important: the chance to see their culture, families and communities positively represented on screen.
Since its debut in 2010, Little J & Big Cuz has become much more than children's entertainment. It's a celebration of culture, storytelling and the simple idea that sometimes the best way to learn is to have a good laugh along the way.
Culture, family, laughter and a little bit of mischief—what's not to love?
